Even the lowest energy consumption such as the convenient standby operation of your TV still costs money. For the energy providers' electricity meters meticulously register even the smallest power consumer. Something even your 'average Joe' can do using the energy cost measuring device BX12.
Due to its high sensitivity for the measurement of even the smallest consumption values, the measuring device captures a power input of as low as 0.23 W. At the push of a button the BX12 indicates the relevant values of the connected devices including voltage, current, power input, power frequency and overload values on its large backlit LCD display.
Detecting power guzzlers and saving money
In order to determine the actual costs you can enter your own two electricity tariffs (e.g. daily rate and night rate). Combined with the likewise integrated time tracking this gives you complete control over all costs arising from each individual power consumer as well as over the total consumption. The operation using buffer batteries prevents data loss upon disconnection.
A better overview thanks to the graphic representation of the consumption history
A special highlight of the BX12: The measuring device records the energy consumption of the past 7 days or 7 months and indicates the consumption history on the LCD display in form of a bar graph. At one glance you can catch up on the power consumption of the recent days and months. You will know exactly where there are savings potentials – regarding both energy and your hard-earned cash.
Don't let the environment out of your sight either
The BX12 can do even more. In order to better evaluate the correlation between energy consumption and climate-damaging CO2 emissions, it calculates the harmful CO2 emissions in relation to the consumed power and displays the value in kg/kWh. In case of an overload the device warns you both visually and acoustically – both the current value (max. 16 A) and the power (3,680 W) can be specified individually. For an effective control of the consumption the device captures the respective peak values of current and power input. The information on the display illuminated at the push of a button can easily be read even in dark surroundings.
