Smart fusion of thermal imaging camera and video endoscope

Whilst conventional video endoscopes are ideal aids for the visual inspection of poorly accessible or concealed areas, they, quite literally, leave you in the dark, when it comes to thermal processes – despite the LED illumination.

Here, thermal imaging cameras would be the perfect solution if they weren't too bulky for narrow cavities as well as unable to look behind obstacles or around corners.

For this reason we combined both device advantages for you in one innovative measuring device – the IC080VS:

The radiometric visual capacity of an infrared camera and the flexibility of a slim endoscopic probe – these distinguishing features make the IC080VS an unrivalled measuring instrument.

Indirect visual inspection – the thermographic way

The IC080VS is a compact thermal imaging camera with bendable, inherently stable gooseneck probe and a field of vision of 50°. Since the probe of the IC080VS is exchangeable rather than built-in, you can optionally also use the camera with a probe of 2 or 3 m length instead of with the supplied 1 m probe.

The integrated image enhancement algorithm of the IC080VS ensures clear thermal images shown on the 3.5-inch display. For documentation purposes these images can be recorded either as video or freeze frame and saved on a microSD card.

And since the IC080VS is based on the robust construction of our IC thermal imaging cameras, the display of the IC080VS, too, comes with a practical folding function: It can be steplessly inclined for an optimum adjustment of the viewing angle and, when closed, serves as protection for monitor and keypad.

By combining thermal imaging camera and video endoscope the IC080VS provides manifold application possibilities: e.g. for functional checks of concealed electrical components, controlling the friction-related heat-up of integrated elements, preventive maintenance, the inspection of the interior of insulated pipes and lines, observations, the detection of active nests (insects/rodents) in buildings etc.

For example you can use the IC080VS for the functional check of electronic elements already integrated in machines and systems or for the thermal inspection of inaccessible sections inside distribution cabinets.

Inspect the insulation in hollow spaces of buildings or the nest activity of unwanted vermin. The combination of thermal imaging camera and videoscope provides a great number of new inspection possibilities hitherto simply not feasible without the IC080VS.

In addition to the supplied 1 m probe you can also connect the optionally available probes of two or three metres length to the IC080VS.
Connection facility for exchangeable probes
Integrated at the head of the robust IP67 gooseneck probe you will find an extremely compact microbolometer. It permits the inspection of pipes and passageways with a diameter starting at 15 mm.
